Today I was surfing through my favorite YouTube channels and watched
Mary’s wonderful video titled “Christmas In July Challenge and Another Sneak
Peek!!” She is at CardzTV http://www.cardztv.blogspot.com/
and I just love, love, love her card ideas and stamps that she has.
The challenge was to make a Christmas card that either had a snowman or a snowflake on it, I couldn’t decide and so I put both on my card today J
- · This card is a 5”x7” base
- · 1” strips of scrap paper added to a patterned piece- then sewed together (I need practice at that)
- · Cut and embossed the scalloped oval from the Spellbinders Nestabilities “lacy ovals” (largest size)
- · Stamped and embossed snowman and snowflakes using VersaMark and white detailed embossing powder from Recollections.
- · Snowman and snowflakes are from the Tis the Season stamp set by Fiskars http://www2.fiskars.com/Products/Crafting/Stamping/Clear-Stamps/8-x-8/8-x8-Clear-Stamps-Tis-the-Season
- · The Merry Christmas stamp came from the Holiday Hoopla stamp set by Fiskars and cut out at a 1” strip added to the bottom of the card. http://www2.fiskars.com/Products/Crafting/Stamping/Simple-Stick-Rubber-Stamps/Holiday-Hooplah-Simple-Stick-Rubber-Stamps-4-x-8
- · I found a few embellishments in my stash and surprise… a card finally appeared! (picture was taken from my iphone)
You've created a WONDERFUL card, Laura! I just love it!! Thanks so much for playing the Christmas in July Challenge at Cardz TV!

Beautiful card! I love it. I also love your blog with the snow coming down. Makes me feel a little cooler.

Thank you! I wanted to share the winter card with everyone and decided that a little winter snow would help.
DeleteI'm SO in the mood for cold Christmas cards right now. Yours turned out so cute. I hope you stop by the challenge at www.thecricutchirp.com
