Hello my fellow blogger friends. it's has been a long time since I've written on my blog. I've had some changes in my life, the biggest is that i'm working again (outside of the home) - this is why I've not had time to be very crafty and post on my blog. Don't get me wrong i love working, i just don't have the creative down time that i used to.
The picture frame below was made with stamps and quilled flowers. One hobby i wish i had more time for.
I hope all of you have been enjoying your summer and have had tons of great memories to show for it - or as i would say "great memories to scrapbook". you know you are addicted to scrapbooking when you change the way you take photos so that they "look good" for your scrapbook.
The other big change is that i am no long a creative memories consultant. So i will be able to post whatever, whenever and not have to worry about that whole thing.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and i hope i will be blogging more often.
Take Care~

OPERATION WRITE HOME
I've been busy making cards... Valentine cards that is. Why you say? because I've found a great way to support our troops abroad. It's called Operation Write Home their email address is: http://operationwritehome.org/
I've been making Valentine cards because it takes time to get cards over to the troops, then for them to pick them up and write to their loved ones and send them back in time for the holiday. Valentine holiday that is! So get your sweet tooth, xoxoxo, and sweetie stamps ready and start making cards for troops today!
Here are some of the cards I'll be sending over.

Fall Project - Magnetic Display
Hi everyone, hope autumn is treating you well. I've been busy with family and friends, but wanted to take a moment to share a quick project i put together. This is the "Magnetic Display" from Creative Memories. It is a picture frame that is a blank magnetic canvas (opening is 13.5 x 13.5). There are different frame types ranging from a sleek black or white frame to rustic ornamental one. I just love mine and use it as a calendar and there are pre-made additions you can purchase. Anyway, if you want to check them out here is the link:http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/laurasmith450/Content/Shop/Catalog.aspx?pr=BrowseCategory&s=/Hierarchy/Gift%20Ideas/Photo%20Displays%20and%20Decorations&dpr=Search&ds=display
My fall project took about ten minutes to put up, It is ideal for celebrating today's accomplishments like a school award, cute pics of the pumpkin patch, etc. I didn't have any pictures handy, so I put my quilled leaves down the sides to add interest and some bling for fall. Hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful day!
the border at the bottom was punched from Creative Memories "Border Maker System" which has a ton of different cartridges for different patterns. Here is the link for that too: http://www.mycmsite.com/sites/laurasmith450/Content/Shop/Catalog.aspx?search=border%20maker

"Shape Card Sunday" Button Up For Fall
Hi my crafty friends! Today I wanted to create a shape card... I don't do that very often and Sara over at Live Love and Scrap has a challenge on Sunday's to make a shape card:
I had lots of fun making this card. Thanks Sara for the challenge to do a shape card. I used the "Speaking of Fall" cricut cartridge... This is supposed to be the letter B. I welded the shadow together in my Gypsy to make the card base and then added the layers like normal.

Today's Cards
So today I wanted to finish a couple of projects I had started a little earlier. These are Christmas cards that I have quilled parts of them but the quilling isn't the whole project. I think it's a little harder to incorporate stamping, quilling and card making together sometimes. Today I was in the mood for warm tones, so this is how they turned out:
Have a great day everyone!

"SSSooo SSSpooky!" Cricut Cardz Challenge #117
Challenge#117: “SSSooo SSSpooky!” Make an S-fold card for Halloween using any cartridge(s) and any colors you’d like.
Mary and her design team are at it again....they come up with the greatest challenges! I just had to make a "S-fold" card for this one!
Ok here is my card... the front is from the Pooh Font Set cartridge, and the cape and mask is from the Paperdoll Dress Up cartridge. The paper is from the Cloud 9 "Seasonal" 12x12 mat stack, I picked up from Jo-Ann's.
Darn! I forgot the button's Mary ~ sorry, maybe next time.
